1. Scope
These terms apply to commercial logistics services arranged by AtlasGen Ltd, trading as Atlas Gen. By requesting or accepting a quote, you confirm that you act for a business or commercial shipment and have authority to provide the shipment information.
Atlas Gen may use airlines, freight forwarders, hauliers, customs agents and other logistics providers to fulfil services.
2. Quote requests and quotations
- A quote request is not a booking or confirmed shipment.
- Atlas Gen reviews the request, obtains a current supplier rate and prepares an Atlas Gen customer quotation.
- A quotation is based on the information you provide and current supplier or carrier availability.
- Rates and service availability may have a short validity period shown on the quotation.
- Changes to goods, weight, dimensions, packaging, route, addresses, dates or required services may require a revised quotation.
- Unless expressly included, duties, taxes, destination charges, storage, inspections and additional insurance are not included.
If you accept the quotation, Atlas Gen issues an invoice. A booking exists only after cleared payment has been received, the supplier booking has been confirmed and Atlas Gen has issued written booking confirmation.
3. Customer information and responsibilities
You must provide complete and accurate contact, shipment, customs and operational information. You are responsible for ensuring goods are correctly described, packaged, labelled and ready at the agreed time. Incorrect or incomplete information may cause repricing, delay, refusal, return or additional charges.
You must promptly tell Atlas Gen if information changes before booking or collection.
4. Goods we cannot currently accept
Atlas Gen does not currently accept:
- personal effects or household items;
- alcohol;
- perishable goods;
- scrap;
- high-value precious metals;
- cars or personal vehicles; or
- organic food items.
We may refuse a shipment where its description, condition, packaging or required handling cannot be supported by available providers or applicable law. Do not conceal or misdescribe goods.
5. Transit times and updates
Transit and delivery times are estimates unless Atlas Gen expressly agrees a guaranteed service in writing. Customs, airline schedules, security controls, weather, congestion, operational disruption and events outside reasonable control may affect timings.
Shipment updates are based on verified information received from logistics providers. Atlas Gen does not promise continuous or real-time tracking.
6. Collection and delivery
Collection and final delivery depend on the route, address and provider availability. Goods must be safely accessible, correctly packaged and ready at the agreed time. Reasonable costs caused by failed collection, waiting time, storage, redelivery or an inaccurate address may be added where they are actually incurred and properly evidenced.
7. Customs, taxes and documents
Customs requirements vary by route and goods. You must provide accurate commodity, value, origin, recipient and document information. Import VAT, duty, taxes, inspections and destination charges remain your responsibility unless the quotation expressly says they are included.
Atlas Gen may assist with customs arrangements through third-party providers, but cannot guarantee clearance or override decisions of customs or other authorities.
8. Payment and booking
Payment due before booking. Payments are currently made by bank transfer using the verified payment instructions supplied with your Atlas Gen invoice. Do not send funds to bank details received from an unverified source.
Your shipment will only be booked once cleared payment has been received. A payment screenshot, transfer instruction or customer statement is not proof of cleared funds. Atlas Gen may withhold or cancel booking where payment has not cleared.
9. Cancellation and refunds
You may ask to cancel before supplier or carrier commitment. Once Atlas Gen or a provider has incurred a non-refundable cost or made a booking commitment, that evidenced cost may be deducted from any refund to the extent permitted by law and the accepted quotation.
Any remaining refundable balance will be returned using an appropriate verified method. Atlas Gen will explain material cancellation charges before confirmation where they are known.
10. Liability and cargo insurance
Full-value cargo insurance is not automatic. Freight, airline and logistics-provider liability may be limited by law, international convention or applicable carrier terms. Additional cargo insurance may be available by written agreement before booking.
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability where doing so would be unlawful, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation. Subject to that, Atlas Gen is not responsible for indirect or consequential business loss that was not reasonably foreseeable when the service was agreed.
Any service-specific limitation, claim deadline or provider term supplied with an accepted quotation or booking confirmation forms part of that service where clearly identified.
11. Third-party providers
AtlasGen Ltd acts as an authorised logistics arranger and disclosed agent. Transportation and related services are performed by approved third-party carriers and logistics providers under the applicable carrier terms.
Atlas Gen coordinates services that may be physically performed by airlines, freight forwarders, hauliers, customs agents and other logistics providers. Provider operational rules may apply to the relevant service. Atlas Gen remains responsible for its own obligations and will not represent an unconfirmed provider action as completed.
12. Law and disputes
Contact team@atlasgen-team.com first so we can investigate. These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction, subject to any mandatory rule that applies otherwise.
13. Changes
The terms version accepted with a quote request is recorded. Material changes apply to later quote requests and bookings, not retrospectively to a confirmed service unless agreed or required by law.
